FAQs

I have always been afraid of needles. Will acupuncture hurt?

Acupuncture needles are very fine. In fact, they are not much thicker than hair. When they are inserted, you may feel a minor prick (like a mosquito bite). Once the needles are in, you may not feel anything at all. Sometimes you feel a slight aching sensation or tingling but this is usually for a short duration and can often feel like the needles are communicating with each other! Overall, acupuncture is incredibly relaxing.

Will I bleed after acupuncture?

Generally there is no bleeding or bruising after acupuncture as the needles are very fine and are not inserted into blood vessels. The acupuncture points are located on energy channels throughout the body.

Is there an optimal time in my Cycle to start Chinese Medicine for fertility?

No. The sooner the better. Initially, you will receive weekly sessions to correct any imbalances in your energy (Qi), blood, and organ systems. Then the sessions will focus more on ovulation time and when your period is due. The key to fertility is a balanced, healthy body, so the sooner you begin our treatment program, the better chance you have to fall pregnant
